Without proper cooling, LEDs can quickly overheat, causing fading and discolouring. The Dyson Solarcycle™ task light uses Heat Pipe technology to efficiently cool the LEDs, protecting light quality for 60 years.¹ This allows it to reliably adjust its colour and brightness.

Even if you don't notice it, low light, glare or flicker can cause eye strain.⁴ The Dyson Solarcycle™ task light provides more than 1000 lux brightness, combined with glare protection and low optical flicker⁵ – surpassing recommended levels for studying.
Unlike most lights that just stay the same, the Dyson Solarycle™ task light adjusts it colour temperature and brightness throughout the day. So it regulates blue light in relation to your local daylight, providing the right light for the time of day.
As we get older, our eye muscles weaken and the lenses harden – so we need up to four times more light.³ The Dyson Solarcycle™ light automatically adjusts to give you the recommended brightness for your age.
