A better way to wash hard floors
Mops can smear dirt over the floor. Some wet cleaners mix debris and dirty water, which can promote bacteria growth. We used our expertise in cleaning, with extensive testing, to engineer machines that wash hard floors – properly.
-
Tested against the toughest stains
Industry standards only test three types of mess. With 180 engineers and scientists, we developed a whole new debris classification system that tests our machines against 135 types of debris – including even the toughest of substances.
-
A more hygienic way to clean
Our microbiologists studied the microscopic debris that can be spread across the floor when wet floor cleaning – often containing mold, allergens and dead skin cells. This led us to develop machines that wash floors with clean water, from start to finish.
-
Analyzing every detail, for the best possible finish
We developed over 500 prototypes, testing our machines across 41 different floor types – with varying roughness and hardness. Using pioneering new test methods to find the optimum amount and size of water droplets, for the best surface finish.
Unlike conventional methods, Dyson wet cleaners wash with clean water from start to finish
-
Washes away the dirt others smear around
Powerful roller technology simultaneously removes wet spills and dry debris, and tackles even tough stains. The roller head is engineered for optimul floor contact, for the best possible finish.
-
Tested to achieve a sparkling finish
One roller washes, the other roller finishes, while cleaning themselves as they go. Applying clean water only, in just the right amount, our wet cleaners ensure a sparkling finish for your floors.
Frequently asked questions
How does a wet floor cleaner work?
Dyson’s dedicated hard floor cleaners optimize hydration, absorption and extraction technology to pick up wet and dry debris simultaneously – eliminating the need for pre-vacuuming.
What’s the difference between a wet floor cleaner and vacuum?
A standard vacuum is only suitable for picking up dry debris, while a Dyson wet floor cleaner can collect both wet and dry waste – all in one machine.
Do I need to vacuum before using a wet floor cleaner?
If using a Dyson V15s Detect Submarine™ wet and dry floor cleaner, you will need to vacuum hard floors using the Digital Motorbar™ cleaner head then switch to the Submarine™ Wet Roller head to wash your floors. No prior vacuuming is required for hard floors when using the Dyson WashG1™.

How is a wet floor cleaner different to a mop?
A traditional floor mop and bucket has several limitations including a bulky design and unhygienic water. Wet floor cleaners separate dirt from the water, so you’re washing hard floors with clean water from start to finish.
